START KRAV MAGA TRAINING!

You must be smart and start  your Krav Maga training!
If time is of the essence don't waste it.

A good coach will WORK on your strengths and
weaknesses and hopefully will get the right
percentages.

Fitness is ESSENTIAL but you will get fit
anyway by running through your techniques
drilling, rolling and sparring.

If you want to go out and run 5 miles that's
cool but that is your GPP training and should
only be done after your SPP training.

An Krav Maga  fighter doesn't have to be the best
boxer, kicker, wrestler or submission wizard
to fight. He just has to excel at ONE range
and be decent with the others.

An Krav Maga fighter could certainly go to a boxing
club to improve his hands but it still WON'T
guarantee a knockout in the cage if he
hasn't any take down defence.

The same can be said of wrestling - unless you
know how to get past some punches and kicks,
you won't get your take down.

If you learn boxing, wrestling, Thai or jujutsu
for MMA purposes make sure it is for MMA
purposes and it works in the cage, not in the
wrestling match or the boxing ring.

It is really the principle that Bruce Lee was
voicing in the late 60's.'Absorb what is useful
and get rid of the rest'.

A common myth is that you have to train submission
with a Gi to fight MMA. Why?

You don't wear a Gi in the cage. It DOESN'T
translate.

That is like telling an Olympic wrestler to
train in judo to win his fight or via versa.

Don't waste time being waylaid."Be smart and start learning Krav Maga!
